Privacy and UK GDPR

How RoamBook handles personal data, who is responsible for what, and what organisations can and cannot see. The Privacy Policy has the full detail.

Who we are

RoamBook is made by Outfly Innovation Ltd, Fora Space, 42 to 46 Princelet Street, London E1 5LP, company number 07119494.

Who controls which data

  • Reader accounts, personal suggestions and the AI guide: RoamBook is the controller.
  • Your texts, recordings and speakers: your organisation is the controller, and RoamBook is your processor.

Readers' ages

  • Under 13: no account.
  • 13 to 17: a limited account, with no AI guide and no personal learning.
  • 18 and over: a full account.

What organisations see

Organisations see counts of what readers tap and watch. They never see a reader's profile or who watched what.

How we keep data safe

  • Nightly backups.
  • Uptime checks every five minutes.
  • A security review with each release.
  • Database access rules that keep each organisation's data separate.

Questions

Who is the data controller for reader accounts?

RoamBook is the controller for reader accounts, personal suggestions and the AI guide.

Can organisations see who watched a clip?

No. They see counts, not people.

Can children use a reader?

Under 13s cannot have an account. Accounts for 13 to 17 year olds have no AI guide and no personal learning.
