How it works

How RoamBook works

RoamBook is an interactive reading platform. It links the moments in your videos to the exact words of your books, manuals and documents. Here is what happens, from upload to reader.

1. Add your text

Upload a book, a set text, scripture, a handbook or a manual as Word, EPUB, Markdown, RTF or plain text. RoamBook finds its chapters, sections and lines.

2. Add your video or audio

Upload talks, lessons, readings, interviews or training sessions. Long recordings are fine. Captions are made automatically, and your editors can correct any line.

3. The AI drafts the links

RoamBook's AI suggests where each clip starts and ends, gives it a title and tags, and suggests the section, the lines and the exact phrase it explains.

4. Your editors approve

In RoamBook Studio your team accepts, changes or rejects each suggestion. Only approved clips reach readers. Rejected suggestions are kept so the AI learns what your team wants.

5. Readers tap and watch

Readers open your reader in the browser, on your own web address and under your name. Underlined words have clips. They tap a phrase, a line number or a section heading and watch, with captions on. Several people can speak on the same words.

What readers get

  • Captions on every clip.
  • Several voices on the same words.
  • Share a clip with a link.
  • Search across the text and the clips.
  • Text they can resize.
  • Sign-in with Google, email or Apple.
  • Personal suggestions, and an AI guide for signed-in adults.
  • QR codes for printed editions.

What your team gets

  • RoamBook Studio, on desktop.
  • A review queue for everything the AI suggests.
  • Your branding: name, colours, logo and web address.
  • Team roles for editors and admins.
  • Your own tags.
  • Insights: counts of what readers tap and watch.

What we need from you

A text, some video or audio, and one person to approve clips.
