AI and your editors

The AI drafts. Your editors decide.

RoamBook uses AI to do the slow work of finding which part of a recording explains which words. People make every decision about what readers see.

What the AI does

  • Makes captions from your recordings.
  • Suggests where each clip starts and ends.
  • Suggests a title, a summary and tags.
  • Suggests the section, the lines and the exact phrase each clip explains.

What your editors do

Editors accept, change or reject each suggestion in RoamBook Studio. They can correct any caption, move the start or end of a clip, and change the words it is linked to. Every decision can be undone.

What readers see

Only clips and links your team has approved. Suggestions that nobody has checked never reach readers.

How the AI improves

Rejected suggestions are kept, not deleted, so the AI learns what your team accepts. It learns from your organisation's own decisions.

The personal guide

Signed-in readers aged 18 or over can ask an AI guide questions about what they are reading. It says clearly that it is automated, not a person. Readers under 18 do not get the guide.

Questions

Does the AI publish clips on its own?

No. Every clip and link is approved by a person before readers see it.

Can editors correct the captions?

Yes. Editors can correct any line, and readers see the corrected wording.

Can our staff see what a reader does?

No. Staff never see a reader's profile. Organisations see counts of what readers tap and watch, not who watched what.
