Accessibility

Our aim

We want everyone to be able to use readers powered by RoamBook. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we have done

• Text size: make the text larger, up to twice the normal size, from the Aa menu.
• Light and dark: the reader follows your device's setting, or you can choose light or dark yourself.
• Keyboard: you can read, open clips and control the player without a mouse.
• Captions: clips play with captions on by default, and you can make them larger.
• Reduced motion: if your device asks for less motion, we turn off animation and autoplay.
• Screen readers: buttons, links and the words that have clips are labelled, so screen readers can read them out.

What still needs work

We are still testing with screen readers, including VoiceOver on iPhone and TalkBack on Android. Some parts may not yet work as well as they should.

Tell us about a problem
